By the end of this class you should be able to understand the alternatives available at a textile’s end-of-life: recycling, upcycling, defibring, etc.
Dr. Heikkilä analyses various methods of dealing with the end of life of textiles in different quantities, variations, materials, etc. This class provides the means to understanding the options and economic feasibility of implementing various processes in order to recover textiles after their initially intented usage.
