This involved the collection and sorting of household textile waste to demonstrate the full recycling process of polyester, polyamide 6 and cotton from waste into new textiles or garments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The aim of the project was to demonstrate sustainable and economically feasible business models for each actor along the value chain, to conduct lifecycle analysis of the circular process, to facilitate citizen engagement activities, to integrate digital tools that streamline the process of closed loop textile recycling and to produce circular design guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls poster=\"https:\/\/circulartextiles.aalto.fi\/trexproject\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Screenshot-2025-06-24-at-13.53.09-scaled.png\" src=\"https:\/\/circulartextiles.aalto.fi\/trexproject\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/T-REX-DOCUMENTARY-LONG-FINAL.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Project documentary, 2025.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Project&nbsp;CONTRIBUTORS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-contrast-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9fc71881c892737be9e6e1494a64ed67\">Waste management company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veolia.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Veolia<\/strong><\/a> led the post-consumer textile waste collection, sorting and division, managing the feedstock needs of the respective textile recycling technologies of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/infinitedfiber.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Infinited Fiber Company<\/strong><\/a>,&nbsp;
