Collection of textile waste in France is organised by Refashion. There are now 45 000 collection points in France: containers, associations, shops, municipal recycling facilities, etc.

While the collection is organised by Refashion, it is carried out by accredited charitable and private organisations. The Refashion-accredited collectors must accept textiles in all conditions, including non-reusable textile waste. Once collected, textiles are transported to sorting centres, primarily in France and neighbouring countries. There they are sorted into categories of reuse (domestic or international), recycling and downcycling, and energy recovery or disposal.
