Locations for Textile Waste Disposal

In Germany, managing textile waste involves a combination of municipal services, charitable organizations. Germany offers donation bins for textiles in many locations. They are mostly asking for garments that are still usable and not considered end-of-life. Clothing that is very dirty is supposed to be disposed in the mixed waste. Clean but non-reusable textile products can also be disposed in the donation bins, even if that is not stated on the containers itself, and will be sorted out afterwards. 

Starting January 2025, Germany will implement new regulations mandating the separate collection of textile waste. This initiative aims to improve recycling rates and reduce landfill waste.
